Holiday season! Holiday is calling! But what to do with the rats?
One of the basic thoughts before the purchase should be: where to put the animals on vacation, in the case of longer hospital stays, etc.? Not every animal lover and potential rat sitter can make friends with these adorable rodents.
The little ones can survive one or two nights without any problems, as long as they have enough food and (especially important!) enough water, but as soon as it becomes a longer absence you should have someone to take care of the little animals. If nobody within the family and circle of friends can be convinced and the pensions are all grossly overbooked, we are happy to take our mediated mice into care for a while - of course together with their pack members, even if they do not come from us. "Problem animals" are not a problem for us and medication can of course also be administered to chronically ill animals.
The domicile
A MAXIMUS is available for holiday care and thus offers two small or one large pack a nice short-term home. The cuties are also welcome to vacation in their cage and simply bring it with them.
The costs
An individual expense allowance will be charged for all expenses, which would also have to be paid here directly when the animals are handed in. This is used to cover the running costs for, for example, litter, (fresh) feed, heating, spot-on, interior.
the lining
They are fed with either the dry food they have brought themselves or our mix, plus a selection of fresh fruit, vegetables and animal products/products (eggs, chicken, quark, ...) several times a week.
If you are aware of any food intolerance or if you are on a diet prescribed by a doctor, please let us know. We don't want the rats to suffer or the vet to complain afterwards.
Aside from that:
Upon arrival, our guests are first spotted preventively, so it is essential to address known allergies.
In the event of an emergency, an emergency number is also required in order to be able to discuss arrangements for further action.
